The Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program’s 30th Anniversary

The Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. What has the MEP achieved in the last 30 years? When you look at the data, the results are impressive! Since 1988, MEP has worked with over 94,000 manufacturers, leading to $111.3 billion in sales, $18.8 billion in cost savings, and it has helped create and retain 985,317 jobs.

These statistics are based on records only dating back to 1994, six years after the inauguration of the Regional Centers for the Transfer of Manufacturing Technology and the Assistance to State Technology Programs that formed the basis for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
