“The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.” – Ronald Reagan
Excellent leaders create excellent teams who develop excellent products. Is your organization putting a focus on developing leadership?
- There are common traits that great leaders possess that organizations should develop rather than diminish including: 1. Confidence: When you look at high-paid CEOs, you see a certain air of confidence among the group. Confidence is needed in order to persuade others to follow and to gain their respect.
- Independence: High performing leaders do not like to be micromanaged. They want to be entrusted with helping their team perform and relied upon to do their job. Giving a great leader some independence, allows them to flourish and become accountable for their team.
- Self-Motivated: Most successful leaders have a ton of self-motivation. Each day they strive for both themselves and their teams to perform better than the day before. Ambitious leaders set goals and strive to not only meet but exceed these goals.
These are only a few of the common traits excellent leaders possess. Stay tuned as we will continue to share more traits of leaders in future posts!
