Many, many organizations make health and safety a priority. I’ve been to a considerable number of companies that emphasize the importance of health and safety, and make it part of their strategy and daily operations. These companies have been relying on OHSAS 18001 to properly manage such programs.
In the past few years we’ve seen ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental) considerably transition with the new 2015 Standards. Well, the new ISO 45001 Standard will be published in March of this year. This new international standard will replace the OHSAS 18001 Standard, which currently is a British standard.
This new 45001 Standard will follow the ISO Annex SL, which is a 10-Element ‘standard for standards’. By design, this new Standard will integrate well with both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
